🔥 Gravity Camp — Level 1

Ready to introduce your rider to the world of gravity riding? Level 1 focuses on bike handling, body position, braking control, and smart downhill decision-making in a structured, supportive environment.

Best for: Riders new to gravity riding who meet equipment requirements.


⚡ Gravity Camp — Level 2

📅 Dates: July 6 – July 9
🕘 Time: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

For riders who are comfortable on downhill terrain and ready to progress. Level 2 builds on foundational gravity skills with more advanced terrain, speed management, and technical features.

Best for: Experienced riders ready to take the next step.

Who can participate?

Children aged 7-13 who are already capable bikers and have some experience riding on singletrack mountain bike trails. Participants will register for either the beginner, intermediate, or advanced program. On day one of the camp all participants will ride in the same venue and coaches will make adjustments to groups as they deem necessary.

  • "Beginners" should already be capable of riding the narrow trails at Pine Street Woods. Ages 7-10.
  • "Intermediate" riders should already be comfortable on the trails at the Schweitzer Roundabout and in the Lower Basin. Ages 8-13.
  • "Advanced" riders should already be comfortable on the trails off the top of Schweitzer, including High Point, Pinch Flat, Beargrass, and others. Ages 9-13.

Price

  • Beginner program: $200
  • Intermediate program*: $250
  • Advanced program**: $250

Where and when do we meet?

All participants will meet at 9 am on Day 1 of the camp at the Pine Street Woods parking lot. On the first day coaches will determine if participants possess the correct skills for the program they are signed up for and sort kids into groups for the week. Days 2-5 will take place at different venues depending on which group your child is in.

Beginner group:
  • Day 2 in Pine Street Woods: 9:00 drop-off, 12:00 pm pick-up.
  • Day 3 in Pine Street Woods: 9:00 drop-off, 12:00 pm pick-up.
  • Day 4 in Pine Street Woods: 9:00 drop-off, 12:00 pm pick-up.
  • Day 5 at Pine Street Woods 9:00 am drop-off, VTT 12:00 pm pick-up.
Intermediate group:
  • Day 2 at PSW: 9:00 am drop-off, 12:00 pm pick-up.
  • Day 3 in VTT: 9:00 am drop-off, 12:00 pm pick-up.
  • Day 4 in Schweitzer Basin Roundabout: 9:00 am drop-off, 12:00 pm pick-up.
  • Day 5 at Panhandle Bike Ranch: 9am-12:00 pm pick-up.

 

Advanced group:
  • Day 2 at VTT: 9:00 am drop-off, 12:00 pm pick-up.
  • Day 3 at Schweitzer roundabout: 9am-12:00pm
  • Day 4 at Schweitzer roundabout: 9 am drop-off- 12:00 pm pick-up.
  • Day 5 at Panhandle Bike Ranch: 9am drop off-12:00pm pick up

**Includes one day of shuttle assisted riding at PBR

More Information

Group size

Groups are limited to 8 riders per coach. Each coach will have a junior coach supporting their group.

Equipment

  • A well fitting mountain bike, which must be in riding condition before each day of camp (tires inflated, drivetrain shifting smoothly and well lubricated, functioning brakes, etc.) Riders in the advanced camp must have a mountain bike with at least front suspension.
  • Helmets are required.
  • Bike gloves and comfortable riding clothes are recommended.
  • A water bottle on their bike or in a pack at all times
  • A healthy snack or a sack lunch. On the days the intermediate and advanced groups are riding Schweitzer, participants must bring a sack lunch. Please feed your child a healthy breakfast before sending them to the meeting point each morning.

The Rides

Pine Street Woods: ~4 miles of beginner singletrack + ~4 miles of easy wide trails. Minimal elevation gain ~250 feet. Rides will start and finish from the PSW parking lot. VIEW TRAIL DESCRIPTIONS

VTT: This is the property directly south of PSW, where there are ~3 miles of beginner trail and a growing network of intermediate and advanced trails perfect for skills progression.

The Roundabout & Lower Basin Trails: ~10 miles of intermediate/advanced singletrack. Moderate elevation gain ~800 feet. Rides will start and finish at the roundabout above the final switchback on Schweitzer Mountain Road, and may include one shuttle lap per day. VIEW TRAIL DESCRIPTIONS
